If I Had A Million Dollars, I'd Buy You A Monkey...

I've been woefully slack with my knitting lately.  I've been too busy dozing and reading in my spare time to pick up my needles.  But of course, once I do, it's so hard to put them down!  I also really need to pick up the pace a bit with my knitting because I'm itching to buy more wool, but I've promised that I won't buy anymore until I've emptied my wool box (*sigh*) wool cupboard a bit more.

My lovely Phillipa recently gave birth to a lovely baby girl, for whom I already made a cute little cardigan... and I managed to finish the cowl that I was working on for my friend (of course, I forgot to take a photo, I was so excited to finish it.)

I promptly began work on the next gift for my mini-Philly.

Freakin' gorgeous!  Even better than the last monkey I made and I was quite in love with that one!
I've finally motivated myself to start another project for another lovely lady who is expecting at work (and due in October/November.)  It better be a good one, because her baby may be born on my birthday; hopefully I can put my trashy novel down long enough to finish project #2 sooner rather than later!

Your monkey is so cute!!! Your friend's little girl is very lucky to have such a lovingly hand crafted gift to treasure for always.

Thank you! I'm a little obsessed with making soft toys for friends lately (which works out well, because before I really knew much about nice wool to wear, I bought a bunch of acrylic - which is perfect for these darling creations!) :)

I'm not one to turn away a trashy novel or a monkey! :)
