Clickety-Clack Go My Knitting Needles II

It's been three weeks since I've written... it wasn't for lack of gratitude, but lack of time (and an equal measure of laziness.  I can totally admit it.)  Given the choice between finishing my projects and writing, I'm generally selecting my knitting as the outlet for my creativity.  Maybe it's because it (more or less) allows me to turn my brain off.  It's lovely and relaxing and somewhat addictive.  I also love the feeling of accomplishment when I finish a project and it looks really good.  As an adult, I found that feeling was lacking in my life and I didn't realise it until I started knitting again.  I'm sure that when we have our home, I'll have lots of projects to feel accomplished about, but until then, I'll keep clickity-clacking away.  So thankful that I have found something that quiets my mind.  (For some reason, I couldn't turn these photos around... sorry!)

I couldn't give up my pretty new wool that I bought in Rotorua - I knit these gorgeous handwarmers for no one else, but moi!  As a side note, I'm also loving my new nail polish.

I knit this little cross over cardi for Matt and Julia's upcoming bundle of joy.  I'm a bit concerned that it's a bit of a masculine colour, so I may knit a little pink heart to sew onto the front.

Katy's got warm hands as well as feet, courtesy of moi.  I had knit these for myself, but she really liked them and I didn't have enough time to do a set before she left, so I gave her these cuties.
