What's Your Sentence?

This past weekend, I was in Wellington at a meeting and a leadership workshop.  I was a bit reluctant to go initially, as what I really wanted to be doing was pottering around my (gorgeous) new home.  As is always the case, I ended up being pleased I went - it was a good chance to get to know other Montessori professionals a bit better.  I also got to catch up with LeeAnn and Warwick when they treated me to a decadent and divine dinner at a French restaurant.

The workshop gave me some things to think about in terms of my goals and my passion... I've been mulling ever since.  One thing we were asked to do (which I found quite challenging) was to come up with "our sentence."  A sentence to explain the way we want to be remembered.  I thought and pondered and wondered... this is what I came up with (This is the one I had originally, then I added more to it to when we wrote it on the wall... but in the end, this is the one I like best):  "She made others feel happy, loved, safe and supported."

They showed us this video in the workshop - the idea of the sentence is in Dan Pink's book Drive.  I'm looking forward to reading it.

Thanks Megan! It took me a day and a half to come up with it. :) I think "She was always smiling." is a great sentence. :) Thanks for the excitement for our new home - I will post pictures when we've hidden away all the boxes!!
